11 Technology and CCSS The Common Core State Standards outline rigorous content expectations with the intent to make all students ready for life in a technological society. To this end, they do not treat technology as a separate strand of content, but rather incorporate expectations of technological proficiency throughout the content standards. The need to use technological tools effectively is imbedded into every aspect of today’s curriculum. http://www.sde.com/technology/core.asp Common Core APPS

15 Teacher Folders 1.To create a folder, select the Create button, then choose Folder. 2.Name the folder accordingly. 3.Repeat to create a Turn In folder. 4.In the Turn In folder, create folders for each class period or section.

16 Student Folders 1.Students should create a folder for your class in which to turn in their work. My students' folders are named "1 - Last name, First name - English 10" It easily organizes the folders by class period, then last name, and helps students organize their folders for other classes, as well. 2.Students will then share the folder with you. First, with the folder open, they will click the share button on the top right of the screen. 3.When the Sharing settings window opens, students will type your email address in the box, making sure you have editing privileges, and click Send. 4. After students create and share their folders, go to "Shared with me" in your Drive. The folders should be organized by class period, which will make moving folders from each class easy. Select all folders for a class period then click the folder button to move. 5.Select the correct folder. Click Move when finished. 6.Now all of your student folders for each class should be organized in specific folders.
