2. Open a Word document by clicking on Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Word 2003. C 2012jkc 1

3. Click Format on the menu bar and select Paragraph on the drop-down menu to display the Paragraph dialogue box. Select the Indents and Spacing tab and set the alignment for the title to centered. You can also just click on the center-align toolbar button above to center the story title Select this tab C 2012jkc 1

4. Type the title in all capital letters (uppercase), Font size=12 pt, formatted bold and center-aligned. To format the paragraph for double-spacing, click Format, then Paragraph on the drop-down menu to get the Paragraph dialogue box. Select the Indents and Spacing tab and select Double for the “Line spacing” as shown on the left. C 2012jkc 1 2

5. Press Enter, then select the left-align button (to left-align the body of the story), deselect the bold button, then press tab (on the keyboard) to indent the first line of the short story’s paragraphs. Type the rest of the short story. (see next slide for the editing required) C 2012jkc 1
