3 Classroom Structure: Large Group and Small Groups The curriculum “Living Inside Out” works with our current homeroom and classroom structure. The Large Group is done during homeroom in the Coliseum with all the children. Small Group is classroom time when the children are divided by age. The Large Group activities cover the theme for the day’s lesson, and will include an object lesson, a skit or DVD clip, and a game. The benefit of having a Large Group activity is so that younger children can observe the older children, who inadvertently act as mentors. The Large Group activity also offers continuity and cohesiveness.

4 Large Group Activities… who’s in charge? Large Group Activities will be divided so that each teacher will have a part to facilitate. Temple Teacher (prek-K) Object Lesson Scribes & Scrolls (1 st -3 rd ) Game Marketplace (4 th -5 th )Skit or DVD The Large Group Activities will be included in your lesson packet.
