Galvanic treatments use the basic principles that like charges repel each other and opposites attract.
Products are formulated to carry a positive or negative charge.

The Galvanic Spa is only for use on healthy skin. Do not use if you have open sores or wounds, are prone to rosacea, have allergies to metal, or if you have problematic or overly sensitive skin. Check with your physician before using if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or similar device, are epileptic, wear metal braces on your teeth, have a metal implant, or in case of illness.  Do not apply directly to the lips, eyes, or eyelids – instrument and products are for external use only. If redness or irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately. Keep out of reach of children. Use only as directed.

33. FAQ’s
How long does the effect of one treatment done on the face or body last? And how often should I perform a treatment?
The effects of treatment will vary for each individual. We generally recommend the following for product usage:
GS Facial Gels: 2-3 times per week; TFLC: everyday morning and evening; BSG: 2-3 times per week morning and evening; Nutriol HFT: every other day. See the users manual for more detailed usage recommendations.

34. FAQ’s
Is the treatment safe for those who have undergone clinical treatment like laser, Botox, e-light, etc.?
Nu Skin has never tested the GS with other treatments, including Botox, chemical peels, laser treatments, etc. As most of these treatments ablate or otherwise harm the skin, we would recommend individuals wait until their skin has completely healed (this can take several weeks) before using the GS. Questions and concerns on combining Galvanic facials with medi-spa treatment should be directed to your health care professional providing such services.

What are the conductors made of?
The conductors are made of chrome and copper.  The materials for the conductor are ABS with electroplated chrome.  (ABS stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene).  If individuals have specific questions or concerns about metal allergies, they should contact their local product support.

Do you have any recommendations regarding the maintenance of the Galvanic Spa?
We would recommend that individuals follow the care instructions in the user’s manual including avoiding immersion in water, wiping excess product with a damp cloth, and storing in a cool dry place with the conductor head removed.
