What is Pandora? Pandora is a free website that streams all kinds of music, based on your preferences. Each user creates personalized music stations based on songs or artists that have similar qualities to ones that the user searches for. Pandora is a useful resource for exposing new music to the user. It also incorporates music that the user already enjoys listening to.

Setting up a Pandora Account 1.Type "pandora.com" into the navigation section of your preferred browser and press enter. 2. A log on screen will appear. Below that is a link which directs one to "create an account." Click on it. 3.The next page will prompt for personal information. Fill out all the necessary sections, as seen below:

Setting up a Pandora Account (continued) 4. Uncheck the box entitled "Send me personalized recommendations and tips" in order to opt-out of receiving unnecessary emails. 5. Check the box entitled "I have read, understood, and agree to terms of use." This signifies that you agree with Pandora's Terms of Use. 6. Click on the "Register for free" button at the bottom of the window. Congratulations, you are all set up!

Creating a Pandora Station Your account is now set up, so we are ready to create a station. 1. Click on "Create a New Station" - top left 2. Click in "artist or song" input box. 3. Enter name of an artist, song or composer. 4. Click on "Create" button

Creating a Pandora Station (continued) Note: If Pandora cannot find the name that you entered: Select the intended result or click the "new search" button. 5. Assuming Pandora was able to find the term you searched for, the station will be created and music will start playing.

Conclusion Pandora is a free, personalized radio station, but it still has many restrictions. Your Pandora station will only play while an active internet connection is available. Pandora allows the user to upgrade to Pandora One to have less restrictions, but it is no longer free. Wherever you go, your Pandora stations will go with you.
