4.  All sin offends God. (Romans 3:23)  David didn’t have the whole Gospel, but he feared God.  Growing in faith is often seeing more of our sin, not less of it.  God is right to judge, it would not be a fault if He never forgave.

5.  Cleansing from God brings joy. (v7-8)  If God forgives then who can judge us?  In His presence there is the ability to have joy restored and a heart sustained. (v11-12)  Out of being forgiven comes praise and hope for others (v13-14)
