The faculties of Humanities and EPS house several staff members who have interest in the development of apps. There are clusters of staff, mainly in Electronic & Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, who have experience developing apps and can now be contacted or followed up for further involvement. These people may have a part to play in giving talks at events about their development experiences, suggesting routes to take with current/future app projects and also potential involvement in a dedicated university development resource/spin-in.
13
UMIP’s Role - To provide opportunity for staff to deliver their app ideas and prototypes. - Evaluate commercial potential for such apps - To provide funding (via mini-pop) to support development - Aim to bring out 4 apps by the end of 2013
