4 Q When do milk teeth start to grow? A : Our milk teeth starts to grow at the age of about 6 months.

5 Q When do milk teeth start to fall out? A : Milk teeth fall out at the age of 6 years.

6 Q What are adult teeth? A : When milk teeth fall out, adult teeth start to grow. They last till our life.

7 Q Why we should take good care of our teeth? A : Because if we lose the adult teeth, they will never grow again.

8 Q Write steps to take good care of teeth. A : a) Not eating too much chocolates and sweets. b) Brush teeth at least twice a day. c) Use soft tooth brush and good tooth paste. d) Visit dentist every six months.

They have one root. b) Canine = We have 4 canines to tear, grip and hold food, like forks. They have one root. c) Molars and pre molars = We have 8 premolars and 8 molars to crush, grind and chew the food properly. They have two roots. d) Wisdom teeth = We have 4 wisdom teeth one each at four corners. They have 3 roots.

11 Q: What are gums? A: Our teeth are held in place by roots and gums.

12 Q What are gum diseases? A: Gum diseases are when your gums get swollen, because of plaque.

13 Q What is plaque? A : Plaque is sticky white coating on teeth that is caused by the bacteria inside teeth.

14 Q How do we get plaque? A : Plaque is produced by bacteria that attack the left over food in teeth.

15 Q How do plaque harm our teeth? A: Plaque damage the enamel of our teeth (outer layer).

16 Q What is tooth decay? A: Tooth decay is when your teeth get holes in them.

17 Q How do we get tooth decay? A: Bacteria in our mouth attack the left over food and produces acid which cause tooth decay.

18 Q What is extraction? A: When a tooth is taken out of of your mouth.

19 Q Why do dentist need to extract teeth? A: In very bad cases of tooth decay or when there is not enough space for a tooth to grow, a dentist may remove a tooth altogether.

20 Q What is crown? A: When the tooth has decayed a lot, a dentist will replace the top of a tooth. This is called a crown.

21 Q What is filling? A: When a hole in a tooth is filled, is called filling.

22 Q What is denture? A: Denture is another name for false teeth.

23 Q Why do people need dentures? A: Some people have such bad teeth that they have them all removed and replaced by false teeth.

24 Q What are braces? A: Braces are usually made up of metal that is put on to teeth to move them into the right positions, very slowly.

25 Q Why do people need to use braces? A: People need braces when teeth are not growing straight or there are big gaps between them.

26 Q How much time does it take to get teeth in right posistion after wearing braces? A: It takes about 21 months to get teeth in right position.

27 Q Why do dentist need to take x-ray of teeth? A: The dentist take an x-ray to see what is happening inside your gums.
