10. DIALOGUE a conversation between two or more characters

13. EXPOSITION the part of the story that introduces the characters, the setting, and the basic situation

14. CENTRAL CONFLICT The main problem that the character sets out to solve throughout the entire story plot

15. RISING ACTION all complications and events leading to the climax/turning point

16. CLIMAX/TURNING POINT The point after the rising action when the audience senses the main character has solved the central conflict the action “turns” and no longer rises (leads to falling action) may be suspenseful main characters often experience inner change

17. FALLING ACTION the downward spiral of events that follows the climax/turning point

18. RESOLUTION The final outcome for the main characters is revealed
