11 Conclusions Emerging research shows that learning is fundamentally both social and experiential. Intelligent tutoring systems integrated into web-based environment can enhance its efficiency and flexibility and has great potentials in facilitation of collaborative learning. Collaborative Intelligent Tutoring System (CITS) should be able to provide an environment, where the student can interact with one or more, simulated collaborative partners and/or fellow students, to progress towards a common goal of learning.
