This was created after I completed my teacher education program and was awarded my Colorado Teaching License. What skill does this artifact show? This artifact shows skill #2, “Student can communicate information, ideas, and opinions to multiple audiences using many different formats. How does this artifact show this skill? By earning my Colorado Teacher License I prove that I can communicate curriculum to my students, peers, and administrators effectively. I Show this because in order to earn my teaching certificate, I had to complete a teacher education portfolio with examples to show my mastery of the standards, earn a passing score on the Secondary Education Social Sciences Praxis Exam, demonstrating my knowledge of content, and I had to successfully complete the teacher education program at the University of Northern Colorado. All of these things required me to show my professors and host teachers that I could communicate information, feedback about assignments, and be accountable for lesson plans to my superiors. By completing these requirements successfully I proved that I could communicate to others effectively.
