6. www.wgcsoc.org.uk Greasing the wheels – Section 106 Section 106 of the T&C Planning Act 1990 – Tesco can negotiate planning permission by paying for amenities the local authority might like to see but cannot afford. – Under this section some planning controls can be dropped. – Was originally used to build roads etc to out of town shopping developments.
