5 First Semester Micro- Windows-Intro Medical Terminology MA Administrative Procedures Human Body in Health/Disease MA Laboratory Procedures 1 (includes lab session) MA Clinical Procedures 1 (includes lab session) Communication-Written Communicating Effectively

6 Second Semester Psychology of Human Relations MA Laboratory Procedures 2 (includes lab session) MA Clinical Procedures 2 (includes lab session) Medical Office Insurance/Finance (includes lab session) Pharmacology-Allied Health Med Law Ethics/Professionalism Medical Assistant Externship

7 Program Expectations Must achieve a grade of C or better in all program courses (All courses with 501 or 509). Alcohol/Drugs – ZERO Tolerance Professional behavior expected at all times. You represent NWTC Regular attendance is required. Lack of attendance will impact your grades.

8 Time Commitment May have class Monday thru Friday

9 Time Management Do not work more then 16 hours a week Apply for financial aide Apply for Scholarships

10 Pre-Clinical Requirements CPR Caregiver Background Check (CBC) Proof of immunizations and physical health which includes TB skin testing

11 Functional Abilities Review to be sure you can meet these expectations

12 Uniforms Details in your orientation manual Required for classes, Days of Observation and Externship No tattoos No multiple piercings No tongue or nose piercings

13 Scheduling Look closely for class and lab times to be sure they do not overlap Class number 83315 canceled Class number 83323 canceled
