16 Application Process  Secondary application – submit ASAP More essays! – but individualized for each school  Why would you like to go to _____ school of medicine?  How will you contribute to the diversity of the students at our school?  Assigning letters of recommendation - may vary for each school Manually entering in transcripts (again!)

17 Application Process  Interviews – sign up ASAP when offered Traditional format  Prepare to talk about extracurriculars  Prepare for healthcare policy questions  Prepare to answer “Why do you want to go to ______ School of Medicine?”  Prepare questions to ask about the school Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) format  Look over extracurriculars in case you can bring them up  Look over sample questionssample questions
