9 Fire Planning Cycle 4 Operational Shifts usually 12 hours –0600-1800 Day Shift; 1800-0600 Night –CALFIRE – uses 24-hour shifts 4 Briefings usually 0600 & 1800 4 Planning meeting times will vary –Commonly 1000 and 1800 or 1900 –Some teams will have “Pre-planning” prior 4 Often helpful to have more than one READ –1 Lead at camp for meetings and others in field
