13 The Bank will receive an infusion of federal money, $60 billion over 10 years, to provide financing to transportation infrastructure projects across the nation. 14 Transit Issues Barack Obama will re-commit federal resources to public mass transportation projects across the country. He will work with state and local governments to create new, effective public transportation systems and modernize our aging public transit infrastructure.

15 Transit Issues He will reform the tax code to make benefits for driving and public transit or rideshare equal. He will work to safe guard Mass Public Transportation by fighting for greater information sharing between national intelligence agents and local officials and provide local law enforcement agencies with the every day tools they need to protect their transportation systems.

As president, he will continue to fight for Amtrak funding and reform so that individuals, families and businesses throughout the country have safe and reliable transportation options.
