Freedom of Choice America is about the “freedom of choice” Religion is about choice: “Worship in the church of your choice” We are created by God with the power to choose (Gen. 1-3) We will make choices in life; many with little consequence; some that are life changing; a few that will affect our eternal destiny

3. God or Satan? We will serve God or Satan (Rom. 6:16) We cannot serve both (Mt. 6:24) We have to make a choice of what is set before us: God – life, or Satan - death (Deut. 30:15-20) What are some questions we can ask ourselves to help us make the right choices in life?

4. Choose Life! ( Questions Concerning My Relationship with God ) “Do the choices I make glorify God?” (Psa. 19:14; Mt. 5:16; Jn. 8:29; 17:4; 1 Cor. 10:31) “Do the choices I make follow the teaching of God’s word?” (Psa. 119:9,11,105; 1 Jn. 3:4; 5:17)

5. Choose Life! ( Questions Concerning My Relationship with Self ) “Do the choices I make defile my body?” (Rom. 6:13; 12:1-2; 1 Cor. 6:19-20; Gal. 5:13) “Do the choices I make bring me into bondage?” (Rom. 6:11-16; 1 Cor. 6:12) “Do the choices I make help me to grow spiritually?” (Psa. 92:12; 2 Pet. 1:5; 3:18)

6. Choose Life! “Do the choices I make violate my conscience?” (Rom. 14:23; 1 Tim. 1:5; 4:2) “Do the choices I make me more like Christ?” (Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 11:1; Gal. 4:19; 1 Pet. 2:21)

7. Choose Life! ( Questions Concerning My Relationship with Others ) “Do the choices I make help my brethren to grow?” (Rom. 14:15; 1 Cor. 8:12; 1 Pet. 3:8-9) “Do the choices I make help the lost to come to Christ?” (Mt. 5:16; 1 Cor. 10:32-33; Phil. 2:15) “Do the choices I make fulfill my obligations to family, work, and authorities?” (Eph. 5:22 – 6:9; Rom. 13:1-7)?

8. Choose You This Day “”And if it seem evil unto you to serve Jehovah, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah” Joshua 24:15

9. Choose You This Day “Choose” – you are given the power and freedom “You this day” – do not procrastinate “Whom you will serve” – God or Satan “But as for me and my house” – make the right choice regardless of what others choose “We will serve Jehovah” – the only choice that brings blessings and eternal life
