1. 1.Choose the topic for your WWII Interactive Timeline (examples: the Home Front, D-Day,, the Bataan Death March, lives of WWII Figures etc.). On slide 2 give your timeline a name. 2.Research that topic using classroom resources, your library, the Internet, or other local resources like a museum or a veteran. 3.Break your topic into 10 dates (example: for D-Day, you could use May 8, June 4, June 6, etc). 4.Compose text for each date (make sure that your text explains what happened on that date and why it is important to your topic). Select a picture or graphic that matches your text. Insert this image above your text. To insert the image, click insert, and then select the type of image you would like to insert (picture, clip art, shapes, etc). Find your image and then hit ‘insert’ 5.On Slide 3, type your dates in the date boxes. You can change the font size and style if you desire. But do not change the slide 1-10 links – if you do the action buttons will not work. 6.When you are finished, you can safely delete this first slide. WARNING: do not change the order of your slides or add any slides past slide 10. If you do, the number buttons will not take you to the correct questions.
