2 Global Poverty Project Mission The global poverty project is global movement project about educating and growing awareness in order to put an end to extreme poverty by the year 2030. They believe that as ‘global citizens’, the people of the world can create change ending extreme poverty for good.

3 Action to change by campaign They believe that charities alone can not end extreme poverty and instead use campaigns with the support and funding of businesses and governments to change policies and practices that restrict people.

4 1.4 Billion Reasons Campaign In 2009, Global Poverty Project developed an education program called 1.4 Billion Reasons, to instil change. Presenting to workplaces, schools and community groups. Attendee’s learn what is extreme poverty, what can we do to help, what are the barriers in ending extreme poverty, why should we care and what can I do as an individual?

5 $2.50 a day Could you live on less than $2.50 per day? According to statistics almost half of the world does, that is over three billion people (Shah, 2013). $2.50
