All students are assessed on both EEs, at levels of complexity that target the student. –Focus: Testing initialization into the map using data from the pilot; testing paths within the map; assessing opportunity to learn. Field Test 2: March 17th – April 11th –Five to ten Essential Elements assessed per grade and content area. Each student is assessed on two EEs per content area, at levels of complexity that target the student. –Focus: Testing first version of dynamic routing from one testlet to the next; trying new interface for teachers to select testlets from a limited range of options; offering first version of a report for teachers. Field Test 3: May 1st – end of academic year –Five to ten Essential Elements assessed per grade and content area. Each student assessed on two EEs per content area, at levels of complexity that target the student. –Focus: Trying new function that allows the teacher to adjust a recommendation made by the system; offering a usage report for teachers. 7
