Dedicated vs. Shared SSL Benefits of Dedicated SSL One single fully validated domain name per certificate More credibility with customers Customers won’t experience a domain name change in the middle entering sensitive information such as payment info (i.e. go from http://www.mydomain.com to https://sharedssl.com/mydomain or https://mydomain.sharedssl.com if wildcard is used. http://www.mydomain.comhttps://sharedssl.com/mydomain https://mydomain.sharedssl.com Eliminates the risk of low consumer confidence Tip: Consumers are more likely to buy from a site that uses a dedicated SSL certificate.
