4. 4 Canadian Capabilities  73% of Canada’s electricity from clean sources (hydro, nuclear, wind, solar, waste-to-energy, biofuel).  Environment industry has 8,500 firms with exports worth between C$1.5 B and C$1.8 B annually.  Total annual revenues in the renewable sector hover around C$25 B.  Environmental industries in Canada: Ontario (43%), Quebec (19%), Alberta (15%), British Columbia (13%), Manitoba/Saskatchewan (5%), Atlantic Canada (5%).  Renewable energy (bioenergy, wind, hydrogen/fuel cells, hydro, solar, geothermal) also in provinces, territories.
