Spin off their research as new firms Foundation of the entrepreneurial university -> broad spectrum of entrepreneurship courses

Main competence of the university is still teaching and accumulating knowledge No comprehensive set of entrepreneurship courses (specialized courses)

6 © Copyright 2008 – Christian.Vintergaard@oeacademy.org A solution In regions with densely located universities, collective educational efforts can have positive coordination effects –Satisfying the needs of a large volume of students with diverse backgrounds –Enhance the supply of entrepreneurship courses –Each university can specialize and students have a large supply Collaboration - swap : 1)students & 2) faculty An organization that coordinates and develops the skills among faculty and need among students

10 A competence center (in entrepreneurship education) which offers resources for the 12 member universities in the Øresund region. Located in Copenhagen (DK) and Lund (SE) Øresund Entrepreneurship Academy unites and develops strong competencies and best practices in entrepreneurship education for the universities in the region. –Unite and develop new entrepreneurship courses –Work with the students to spread the entrepreneurial spirit.
