Transportable Classroom Table and Chair 1- Ahmed alshamrani 2- Mansour alrumayh 3- Abdulrahman alqadi 4-Ali alqadi 5-Mohannad alnufaie 6-Ahmed alobidy Supervised by Dr.Mohammad Abshar. Group 2

Introduction Every day we live in, we use many things that we actually we cant take it off our lives, In order to make life easier and healthful, we came out of an idea which is making chairs able to be transported from place to another in an easy and simple way regarding to its use in our lives. 2

Problem Statement Current chairs are heavy and not transportable. Also, sometimes they don’t have a table. So,we will try to solve these problems by designing a light and transportable chair with attached table. 3

Need Analysis -Table and chair -Transportable -Light -Made off high quality materials -Comfortable -The table can be extended -Storage 4

Main Objective -To design a transportable chair and table that can be combined together. 5

Secondary Objectives -To be built by a high quality materials -The ability to store things -To be comfortable -Table extender 6

Objectives tree design a transportable chair and table high quality materials Ability to store things Table extenderComfortable 7

Constraints -Maximum cost 500 SR -Maximum mass of 5 kg ( 49.05 N) -Maximum load of 120 kg (1177.2 N) 8

Criteria -Safe -Easy to use -Comfortable -transportable -light. 9

Problem definition Design a separate and transportable classroom chair and table that can be combined together. Their mass limit should be 5 kg and the load shouldn’t exceed 120 kg (1177.2 N).They should be made of high quality material. The chair must be comfortable and safe. The table is able to extend. The chair must have storage, also wheels to make it transportable. 10

Existed designs Pros: -Light - Transportable Cons: -Can’t handle heavy weight -Doesn’t have a table. -Can’t adjust height. -Uncomfortable. [1] 11

Existed designs Pros: -Comfortable. -Has a table. -Can hold heavy weight. Cons: -Too heavy. -Not transportable. -Doesn’t have a storage. [2] 12

Human Factors

Anthropometric Factors All dimensions in inches [5] 20

Ergonomic Factors -The table should have easily input and output method. -The way of opening and closing the chair should be hard and tough. -The easiness of moving it along places. 21

Physiological Factors [6] 22

Psychological Factors It should have many different colors to make it comfortable for the eyes. 23

Conclusion The design will be made of magnesium which makes it light and safe as well. Also, it will be supported by wheels that increase its transportability. However, the table would be attached to the chair by clicking it on the chair. In addition, it will have fixed height that makes it easy to use. Its height, length and width will be 36,15 and 15 inches respectively. 25
