2 2. Statement of the problem Design a practical remote control that use solar operator. This would allows the users to save money and time (economic). 2 1

3 3.Introduction: The normal remote control can waste time and money by changing its battery. The solar cells can convert the energy in light into electrical energy. This project solves the normal remote controls problem by using "the solar remote control”. 3 2

4 4.Need analysis: Solar charged. Economic. Practical. Easy to use. Served for a longer time. No need to change the battery. Safe to use. 4 3

8 7.Criteria For Successful Design Small size. Low cost. Light weight. Nice appearance. Strength of material. Production simplicity. Convenience of use. Safety. Transmission range. Light-reflecting buttons. Can be used by one hand. 8 7

9 8.Problem Definition:  Design a practical remote control that use solar operator. The maximum price of the remote should not be more than 80 SR, maximum thickness 3cm, maximum width 7 cm and maximum length 20cm. It’s size should be made of strong material and mass is not exceed 300g.The remote must be has a long transmission range. The remote should be easy to use and has long life. The remote is universal remote control. 8
