5. Example 3 Mission Statement “I will become more financially stable” Goals 1.I will get a part time job 1.I will apply for jobs 2.I will make better decisions about where I spend my money 3.I will put away 20% of my money in savings

Example 4 Mission Statement “I will stand up for what I believe in, even if it is not popular” Goals 1.I will listen to others and understand their point of view 2.I will use effective disagreement strategies so my discussions will not turn into fights 3.I will research information to support my opinions

Make Your Mission Work Count the cost – Opportunity cost- what do you have to give up versus what do you gain – If the goal means you are giving up something you love for something that is not that important  then don’t do it – Weigh the benefits to your goals Don’t make major commitments you know you won’t keep  it just hurts

11. Make Your Mission Work Rope Up – Partner up with someone Friends Parents Teachers – You will accomplish more if you borrow strength from others
