Background Information about Participants All participants are teachers. –Two 4 th grade –One 3 rd grade –One 2 nd grade –One 5 th grade Teaching experience ranges from 2-more than 10 years. Each teacher has student computers. (2-4 per teacher.) 100% of the participants grant students access to online educational games that align with the curriculum.

Participants were asked to name one strategy that would use for students struggling with a concept in class. Responses include: –Teacher created games –Board games and internet games to increase understanding. –Flex groups * *Most common response

Do you think the use of technology will increase student achievement?

Do you think it is important to receive training on how to effectively implement technology into your classroom? Briefly explain. 100% of participants said yes. Explanations include: –Yes because you want to know how to use everything correctly. –YES! We live in a different world and in-order for our kids to prepare for their future teachers need to have and use technology in their classroom. –Yes, I always like to see how another teacher/professional is using technology to better their lessons and students. –Yes. I need to be exposed to hands on. If I can do it I can teach how to do it. –Yes, but I don’t feel like one day of training is enough to effectively teach us how to use tech items. We are RARELY given any guided practice, independent practice, or time to reflect after we have tried it for a period of time.
