2 Mathematics GOAL  All Students will be able to understand, communicate and solve mathematical concepts Essence- To increase student’s mathematical achievement in Number and Operation and Measurement and to increase MEAP scores at all grades levels by 10% * This goal was revised during the 2008-2009 school year

3 Objective # 1  On-going Michigan Mathematics Program Improvement (MMPI) In-servicing for all K-6 teachers of Math

4 Evidence of Action *Math Teachers in grades K-6 have been given strategies to implement in their classrooms and surveyed as to the effectiveness of the in-services.

5 Is It Working?  Is the objective implemented to the expected level based on the plan? 100% of the K-6 teachers currently teaching math are attending the math in- services.  Are the students making progress based on the original goal? Hunt students feel they have benefited by the use of additional strategies taught in their classroom.

6 Objective # 2  Grade level appropriate Math trivia questions are given during the daily announcements.

7 Evidence of Action *Classrooms with the correct answer to the trivia questions are recognized the following day during announcements.

8 Is It Working?  Is the objective implemented to the expected level based on the plan? 95% of the classrooms participate in the daily math trivia question.  Are the students making progress based on the original goal? Hunt students feel they have benefited by the daily trivia questions and positive feedback they receive for correct answers.

9 Objective # 3  Students in grades 1 to 6 are given the opportunity to receive supplemental practice on math facts with the use of Speed Games and Everyday Math Games in the Computer Labs.

10 Evidence of Action *Teachers in grades 1-6 are given the opportunity to take their children to one of the computer labs for additional practice of Math facts using the CCC Success Maker program. Student reports are given to the teachers weekly.

11 Is It Working?  Is the objective implemented to the expected level based on the plan? 100% of the students in grades 1-6 take advantage of the additional practice time for their students on the math facts.  Are the students making progress based on the original goal? Hunt students in grades 1- 6 feel they have benefited by the additional practice time they receive on the math facts in the computer lab.
