2 Child labour refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood interferes with their ability to attend regular school and that is mentally physically socially or morally dangerous and harmful. Considerable differences exist between the many kinds of work children do. What is Child Labour

4 What the impact on the Global Community
In 1999 the International Labour Organization adopted Convention 182 on the Prohibition and Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour. Which include slavery child prostitution recruitment of child soldiers child pornography and others forms of work likely to harm the health safety or morals of children. 2. Don’t buy product made from child labourers (putting sellers out of business) 3. Set laws in countries that support child labour. 4. Raise awareness. How to Solve it

6 Children’s rights have earned increased attention across the United Nations spectrum. Resolutions on the rights of the child have been adopted at both the Human rights council. Children Rights

7 Canada participated in the drafting of this convention ratified it in 2000 and encourages countries which have not yet done so to sign and ratify the agreement. Global Issue
