Concept Equipment design and manufacture fire testing instruments according to international test methods. Our range of products are used to test the fire performance of materials in many applications, including; Aerospace, railway, marine, construction, polymers, textiles and toys. These cover the ISO, EN, BS, IEC, IMO, ASTM and FAA international tests applicable to the fields of fire testing, flammability, smoke density, heat release, ignition, flame spread and toxicity. Oxygen Index Module: Touchscreen interface Oxygen concentration selected and instrument adjusts automatically. Digital display showing oxygen concentration, gas flow rate through the chimney, chimney temperature and lapsed time during the test. AutoCal facility calibrates zero and span range totally automatically Fast response O2 transducer accurate to +/- 0.1 % NBS Smoke Chamber: Intelligent ‘hot swappable’ design, conforming to BS6401/ASTM E662 and ISO5659-2 or available configured to either test arrangement Vertical orientation is used for FAA testing. ISO 5659-2 Horizontal configuration used in new marine and railway applications. Can be utilised for toxicity measurements according to the latest Airbus test standards, including AITM 3.0005 issue 2. UL94 Flame Chamber: Conforms to UL94 and IEC requirements for the classification of plastics Draft free chamber with a volume greater than 1m 3 Integral comprehensive control panel ASTM D5025 burner with wing tip and adjustable burner angle Ergonomically designed access ports for sample and burner positioning Large counterbalanced sliding door allowing complete access

Glow Wire Tester: IEC 60695-2-10, ASTM D6194, UL746A, NFP92-503 The test equipment is used to investigate the fire-resistant properties of raw materials and finished components. Our test apparatus has been ergonomically designed to meet the above international standards. ISO 3795 Horizontal Flammability Test Chamber: Bespoke ignition source according to the above standard Automatic starting of test when sample holder is placed in test position Selectable and automated flame application time Enables ‘after flame’ and ‘dripping’ timings to be recorded Also complies with FMVSS 302 automotive testing Can be used for non-certified FAR horizontal flammability testing NBS Smoke chamber Upgrades: New ISO Cone and weighing systems can be supplied as direct replacements Old Smoke Chambers can also be upgraded with bespoke data acquisition and software, according to BS6401, ASTM E662, ISO 5659-2, AITM3.0005 etc. New state of the art PMT light measurement system, furnaces and radiometers can be supplied as direct replacements Specialist spares can be provided for most makes of Smoke Chamber Radiant Flooring Panel : EN ISO 9239-1 is relevant to flooring material classes A2FL, BFL, CFL and DFL as set out in BS EN 13501-1 2007 + A1 2009. EN ISO 9239-1 applies to floorings. Calcium silicate insulated stainless steel test chamber and sample support Sliding sample holder assembly for easy and safe loading of samples Gas fired porous ceramic radiant panel assembly Mass flow gas controllers with fine adjustment for the gas and air supply to the panel The apparatus can also be used for testing to ASTM E648 and DIN 4102; Part 14. Non-combustibility test: EN ISO 1182 is relevant to material classes A1 and A2 (including floorings) Grooved design furnace assembly Air flow stabiliser, draught shield and screen. Stainless steel specimen holder and specimen insertion device Furnace wall, sample centre and sample surface thermocouples Thermal Sensor as required in the EN standard is also included. Temperature control system coupled with a data acquisition and software

Temperature Index Module - ISO 4589-3, NES715 The Temperature index extends the range of the Oxygen Index Module, so that the oxygen index of materials can be measured at elevated temperatures. Generally, the oxygen index falls as the gas mixture is heated, so work at elevated temperatures supplements work carried out at room temperature. This new model utilises the very latest control technology. Selection of all variable elements is by easy to use touchscreen and the intelligent system adjusts accordingly. This differs from most competitive products, where valves need to be adjusted manually, which is a time consuming and a tedious task. Vertical Flammability Test Chamber: FAR Part 25 App F Part 1(b)(4), AITM 2.0002, BSS 7230. Stainless steel construction Adjustable burner position from front Automatic starting of test when burner is placed in test position Selectable and automated flame application time Enables ‘after flame’ and ‘dripping’ timings to be recorded Spread of Flame ISO 5658; IMO FTPC PART 5: This apparatus measures the flame spread of materials in Marine and Railways applications The IMO marine specification includes a collection hood for heat release measurement Natural Gas and air fired radiant panel with safety devices Acetylene and air pilot burner with safety devices Optional Data Acquisition system complete with laptop and software EN13828 Single Burning Item : The EN 13828 SBI test is one of the series of Euroclass test standards. This is a reaction to fire test for building products and investigates the effects on a sample of being exposed to a thermal attack by a single burning item. It is relevant to material classes A2, B, C and D (excluding floorings)
