McClure, JPL 3 Includes VAT paid to France ($121,380) and the expected VAT return ($69,174) Estimated return at beginning of conference was 15-16% Slightly higher return due to: –Favorable exchange rates during final invoice payouts after conference and increased number of walk-in registrations

5 2015 NSREC Conference Chair, Mike Xapsos, NASA GSFC July 13-17 - Marriott Copley Place, Boston MA IEEE NPSS approved the conference budget –Budgeting for 420 attendees for technical session and 328 for short course –Converted financial tracking over to the IEEE-mandated NETSUITE website Should make closeout and auditing very easy The downside is that accounting codes are not the same as the NPSS accounting codes Planning to increase July 17-18 room numbers in early 2015 to account for AdCom meeting on Saturday Conference committee and session chairs have been finalized

6 2015 NSREC Conference Chair, Mike Xapsos, NASA GSFC “Practical Problems in Spacecraft Design” is the theme of this year’s short course –Patrick O’Neill, JSC, will talk about the radiation environment inside spacecraft –Leif Scheick, JPL, will talk about power sources and power distribution –Mark Robbins, Surrey Electronics, will talk about radiation effects in optical imaging systems –Joe Mazur, Aerospace Corp., will talk about charging phenomena and associated hazards Social program is being finalized –New England clambake on Thompson Island –Day trip to Lowell (first Urban National Park) –JFK Presidential Library/Museum and Faneuil Hall

8 2016, 2017, and 2018 NSRECs 2016 - Conference Chair, Robert Reed, Vanderbilt –DoubleTree / Portland Convention Center in Portland, OR –The conference committee has been finalized, except the Exhibits Chair –Preliminary conference budget expected to be submitted for NPSS approval by Feb. 2015 2017 - Conference Chair, Véronique Ferlet-Cavrois, ESA/ESTEC –Will be held at the Marriott Hotel in New Orleans, LA –Conference committee currently being selected 2018 - Conference Chair, Ron Lacoe, Aerospace Corp. –Site visits are presently planned for Waikoloa, HI, and Monterey, CA in Nov./Dec. 2014
