5 How do we do it? We work collaboratively supported by an Integrated Library Software System Access Services Information & Education Services Collection Management Network Systems Healthnet – Consumer Health

6 Access Services  Opens & Closes Library seven days a week  Staffs Library Desk 94 hours a week  Circulates or reshelves 53,980 items annually  Registers 3,429 patrons annually (Proxy & Barcodes)  Processes 17,140 inter-library loan requests annually  EFTS – Provides software and services to allow electronic payments of loans for 1,100 US & Canadian libraries Staff  10 FTEs (5.5 FTEs on grant or income funds)  Students – 1.5 FTEs

12 Network Systems  Designs, develops and maintains a database-driven, dynamic content library website  Develops subject specialty pages such as for PDAs  Administers proxy accounts & maintains server  Provides usage statistics of library resources  Maintains and supports 18 public computers, 22 laptops, and 35 staff computers  Provides technical support to library staff & patrons  Provides sys admin & applications support for 5 library servers Staff  2 FTEs
