Today we are going to observe water snails. We will be comparing them to land snails.

Look closely at the snail in the vials with water.
Where are the water snails in the vials? Are they floating in the water or holding on to the sides?
Does the water snail have a head? Tail? Eyes? Mouth?
Does it have a shell?
Does it have a foot?
Does the water snail have tentacles?

Now lets put the snail in a cup.
Does the snail pour out of the vial with the water?
How do they stick to the sides?

Now lets see how interact with new things in their environment.
Add another snail to the cup. What happens?
Add a piece of Elodea. How do the snails interact with the plant?
