Pysanka (Ukrainian:Ukrainian писанка, plural: pysanky)

Pysaty The word comes from the verb pysaty, " to write"

In Pre-Christian times Ukrainians worshipped the: Sun god (Dazhboh)- Dazhboh loved birds !

Humans could not catch the birds, but they did manage to obtain the bird eggs

– the eggs were magical – a source of life

What’s beeswax? it all begins on a flower in a field. Bees collect nectar from flowers and bring it to the hive where it becomes either beeswax or honey.
