Workplace Hazards Chemical Particulate/dust Slip/trip/fall Scaffolding, ladders, lifts Lead Electrical Fire

Chemical Always read and follow instructions on the label. Good ventilation. Clothing that fully covers the skin. Aerosols (eye protection) Gloves and eye/face protection when recommended.

Respirators Do not use without a fit test and physical evaluation. Do not share respirators. Dust masks are not respirators and are only good for nuisance dust (sanding).

Spray Booths Never use anything that would spark or flame. No space heaters inside the spray booth. Not a storage booth.

Asbestos Check with Facilities regarding areas of possible asbestos containment: – Mech room fittings – Joint compound in certain buildings – Floor tiles – Window caulk – Rick Roberts can take a sample prior to work.

Lead Use lead-check test kit – 213 West St – 166 East St – Pres Res – 322 West St – Boat House – Misc Thayer properties – Netzer mini blinds
