2 + Agriculture & Postsecondary Education Since 2010 over 18 million students enroll in postsecondary education institutions each year On average less than 175,00 of all students choose to enroll in Agriculture related field 1% of total enrollment

4 + The Issue The Agriculture Industry is currently facing a talent shortage due to the small number of students pursuing degrees and ultimately careers in Agriculture In 2012, there were more job opportunities than graduates with baccalaureate degrees in Agriculture; both entry level and professional level The Opportunity

5 + The Industry o Number of opportunities has increased each year and the Agriculture Industry has continued to grow and thrive o 22 million people work in Agriculture related fields o Only 10% of those careers are related to farming and ranching – HUGE misconception o ¼ careers are related to Agriculture o Today’s Agriculture offers over 200 rewarding and challenging careers

6 + On Average Agricultural Graduates …with a Bachelor’s Degree will earn $6,000 more annually than their peers with an Associate’s Degree Those with with Doctorate Degrees can earn up to $41,00 more than peers with Master’s Degrees Those with Master’s Degrees can expect to earn $6,000 more than peers with Bachelor’s Degrees
