Childhood Abraham was born on February 12, 1809. As a child he lived in a log cabin in Kentucky and Ohio. Abe and his older sister worked hard on the farm. When they could be spared they went to school about two miles away. He learned fast at school and was pretty smart. His mother died when he was about nine years old.

Why this person is famous Lincoln was the president who stopped slavery. He was 6’4’’ and the tallest president. Lincoln was president during the Civil War. He was the first president to wear a top hat.

Adult Life He was in the army. He got married to Mary Todd Lincoln. He was fifty two when he became president. When he was fifty six they shot him in the back of the head in Fords theatre. He had four kids and one of them died as a child. Lincoln lost three Senate elections, but won the presidential election on the first try.

Interesting Facts He loved to read and was a good writer. He was the first president born outside of the original thirteen colonies. Abraham had a wart on his cheek. He had many jobs, such as a soldier, rail splitter, a ferryboat captain, a clerk, and a postmaster. Even though he didn’t go to school for more than one year he got really smart.

Character Traits Smart _ Abraham was smart because, learned fast and was a good Lawyer and Senator. Nice _ He was nice, because he helped black people not be slaves anymore.

Biography Time Line Feb. 12,180918181819 Abe’s dad married Sarah Bush Lincoln. Nov 4, 1842 March 4, 1861 April 14,1865 Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Kentucky. Abe’s mom got sick and died. Abraham got married to Mary Ann Todd Lincoln. Abe became the 16 president of the United States. Abraham Lincoln died in Ford’s Theatre Abraham Lincoln
