10. After breakfast how to you get to school? By car or bus? Do you walk to school?

12. In Africa almost all children have to walk to school It can take them over an hour to walk to school

13. It is a long way and it’s hot too

14. And when they get to school the classrooms are falling apart

15. And there are not enough desks so children have to sit on the floor

16. Sometimes there are no classrooms so they have lessons under a tree

17. And if they do not have enough books they have to share or go without

18. Think about your school and your classroom and your desks

19. Are they very different to a school in Africa?

20. Children in Africa are desperate to go to school and learn

21. Irine wants to be a nurse when she grows up

22. Why would it be hard for Irine to learn at school?

23. Hard to hear if it is windy or raining

24. Lessons are cancelled and students sent home when it rains

25. Hard to concentrate if you don’t have a desk and a chair to sit on

26. Cannot practice writing when you do not have any books

27. Would you want to go to school if it looked like this?
