2 CDI Webinar Sept. 5, 2012 USGS data is a center part of what we do as an agency – data is costly to collect and is one of our most valuable assets In order to perform data integration activities in USGS, we first need well- managed, documented, and accessible data as a foundation Why develop a Data Management Website?

19 CDI Webinar Sept. 5, 2012 Training will allow us to “get the word out” about data management best practices and how to apply them Also provides an opportunity to highlight new data management-related activities Training will include hands-on exercises and use of data management website After training is done, website will be available as a support and learning tool Use of Training Materials
