A large percent of the hip hop culture degrades women. Black men battle with racism and oppression daily and have been conditioned by society not to trust or love anyone, therefore it is difficult for them to speak positive on women. Women ar giving the consent to participate in the degrading of them. Many women participate in music videos as unpaid dancers. This also happens in dance clubs and concerts. Women feel the need to be wanted. It has been historically shown that women have less access to power and material wealth. Sex is used to gained those qualities and this has been passed down to generations.
