8 I. Names in English Letter vs. alphabet? -- Letter: a sign in writing or printing that represents a speech sound --Alphabet: a set of letters, arranged in a particular order, and used in writing. In what way are the names and sounds of the letters in English different from those in Pinyin? --consonant, vowel, diphthong Read the instruction --print; capital letter Group the letters according to their vowel patterns and do ex.2 (Page 4).
