2  The exact origins of Greek Mythology are not known.  They are most likely just oral traditions that have been passed down.  The most famous written record of Greek Mythology are the Iliad and the Odyssey  They were both written by Homer.

3  The concept of this mythology is that there were a numerous amount of gods that controlled every aspect of life.  Which means that destiny played a big part in their society.

4  The only practical use of Greek Mythology today is to make blockbuster movies or to learn about it.  An example of this would be the movie Troy.

5  It is no longer practiced as a religion but the gods are still used as good luck charms.  The only thing we do with mythology today is study it.
