2 2  ADB Board – approved $1.3 million regional capacity building technical assistance grant project in December 2009  Co-funded by PRC Regional Cooperation and Poverty Reduction Fund  Duration is approximately 42 months (from 2010 to June 2013

4 4 Asian Development Bank  Country Specific Procurement Reform Initiatives (1)  Procurement Partnership Facility (PPF): start up $500,000  Country – driven and owned interventions  Smaller ‘pilots’: potential for scaling up and broader application  Consultancy support (national & international)

5 5 Asian Development Bank  Country Specific Procurement Reform Initiatives (2)  National public procurement agencies (PPAs) or equivalent – project proponents  Fund pre-identified and priority areas in local procurement reform agenda  Hands-on practical and action-oriented interventions

NGOs, CSOs, private sector)

8 8 Asian Development Bank  Develop Online Procurement Knowledge Products (1)  Dynamic website for information exchange and knowledge repository  Online platform to promote dialogue and exchange on procurement reform related issues and best practice

9 9 Asian Development Bank  Develop Online Procurement Knowledge Products (2)  Targeted research and analytical studies on particular areas  Online learning and discussion groups (eg. ‘blogs’ on specific subject areas)  ‘Feedback loops’ for procurement officials on issues of procurement reform

10 10 Asian Development Bank  Platform for Information Exchange on Good Procurement Practices  Support informed policy dialogue and information sharing between procurement policy makers, officials and practitioners  Hold two regional conferences during implementation  Sponsor up to 8 sub-regional meetings/workshops (and ‘collaborative arrangements’ within and between regions)
