AES 128 built-in encryption FIPS-197 encryption mode (licensed) User segregation Broadcast and uni-cast wireless relay options Securing network performance Broadcast/multicast limiter Protects network flooding by viruses and worms Physical security: IP 65 - Ingress Protection (IP) is a European rating that describes the degree of protection provided by an enclosure of electrical equipment. The rating system consists of the letters IP followed by two numbers: The first number indicates the degree of protection against solid foreign object ingress. The second number indicates the degree of protection against liquid ingress. According to this system an IP65 enclosure will not allow the ingress of dust and is protected against jets of water from any direction.

16 Services: QoS/VoIP SLA and QoS Enforcement
CIR and MIR per user, per direction Carrier-grade data services over license-exempt bands VLAN tagging and QinQ MIR/CIR Link resiliency mechanisms Toll quality voice services over license-exempt bands Small packet processing mechanism Wireless Link Prioritization (WLP) DRAP protocol on voice gateway BreezeNet B supports the following Quality of Service capabilities. CIR and MIR per user, per direction this enables setting and selling different SLAs to different users. The Wireless Link Prioritization(WLP) mechanism complements the Traffic Prioritization mechanism by prioritizing traffic in the wireless medium, ensuring that transmissions of high priority traffic have precedence over transmissions of low priority traffic. The Wireless Link Prioritization feature enhances support of VoIP calls and other types of sensitive data, enabling appropriate handling of toll quality VoIP (high priority) together with best effort data (low priority).

17 Wireless Link Prioritization (WLP)
Over-the-air prioritization of applications or users 60 Pairs of calls + 25 Mbps Quality is not maintained High MOS score is maintained Quality is not maintained * MOS – Mean Opinion Score; Numerical measure of the perceived audio quality MOS Estimate WLP disabled What about the quality of voice over the wireless link? This is ensured by Wireless Link Prioritization (WLP). The voice quality is measured in Mean opinion score (MOS), a numerical measure of the perceived audio quality of a telephone connection. MOS is expressed in one number, from 1 to 5, 1 being the worst and 5 the best. A value of 4.0 to 4.5 is referred to as toll-quality and causes complete satisfaction. Values dropping below 3.5 are termed unacceptable by many users. Here we see an example of a site with 60 pais of calls. Whenever WLP is enabled the measured MOS reaches high score Whenever WLP is disabled MOS scores are random Elapsed time (h:mm:ss) WLP Disabled WLP Enabled WLP Disabled Maximizing Voice Quality

18 Customer Stories Now that we have learned about the product and it’s benefits. Let’s see how customers use it.

19 Acuicola Marina, Spain About Acuicola Marina The Challenge
Customer Type Private network Country / Region Spain, West Europe Solution BreezeNET B Application Video, voice and data services One of the most important producers of farmed fish in the Castellon region HQ (offices and warehouse) situated 3 km inland with fish pools located 10 km offshore The Challenge The Solution To provide voice and data connectivity between offshore fish farm and HQ to: Improve farm security Remotely monitor health, growth, behavior and progress of fish Communicate instructions to employees at the farm A point-to-point wireless connection built using license-exempt, carrier-class outdoor equipment from Alvarion's BreezeNET B product family The Result Many businesses around the world face a common problem: how to get broadband connectivity to remotely located offices, warehouses, and factories where little or no telecom infrastructure exists. One such business, the Acuicola Marina fish farm in Valencia, Spain, faced the same remote broadband challenge but with a twist: how to get broadband connectivity to monitor and control its sea-based operations. Located 10 kilometers offshore, the fish farm comprises 32 separate 'pools' which produce 200,000 fish every year. One of Acuicola Marina's main motivations for broadband connectivity was remote security. Increasingly, unknown boats were being seen near the farm – and this was coinciding with a fall in production. With 24/7 patrols uneconomical, one solution considered was the installation of a wired closed circuit television (CCTV) system. But the cost of laying fiber across 10 km of sea was also found to be far too expensive. So Spanish integrator Ralco Networks suggested to Acuicola Marina that a wireless broadband network might provide the answer, and introduced them to Alvarion. Alvarion and Ralco Networks recommended that a point-to-point bridge using equipment from its BreezeNET B family would be the quickest and most cost-effective way to provide reliable services in such a unique and challenging environment. Wireless broadband solution installed within one day and at an affordable price A network connection that operates in NLOS conditions and easily covers 13 km between the fish farm out at sea and the warehouse and offices located 3 km inland Network offers the same quality-of-service as those operating in other, less hostile environments Improved security and increased production

20 Summary High capacity, point-to-point, robust, outdoor wireless solution Flexible rate options: B10, B14, B28, B100, Long reach up to 60+ km Multiple frequency support: 2.4, 5.x GHz Superior OFDM radio technology Robust performance in Non-Line-of-Sight ( NLOS) environments Simple deployment, management and maintenance Quality of Service ( QoS) for data, voice and video (wireless link prioritization) Secure AES, and FIPS-197

21 Thank You
