What is Your Carbon Footprint? A person’s carbon footprint is the amount of CO2 emissions that they have contributed to the atmosphere in a given time frame A person’s carbon footprint grows based on the amount of fossil fuels that they burn. Doing things like driving cars or burning oil can cause your impact to grow.

Reducing Your Carbon Footprint People can reduce their carbon footprint by using less fossil fuels, or choosing to walk or ride a bike as opposed to driving.

What If You’ve Reduced All That You Can? Once a person has already cut back on everything they can possibly do without to reduce their current footprint, there are still other options. A person can plant trees or donate money to one of many green companies that do with the money things to help the environment and air quality, offsetting the damage one has already done.
