Understand who does & makes what & where? – Channels / Broadcasters – Super Indies – Production Companies – Facility Houses – kit room, production & post- production – Studios (TV studios & Film studios / sound stages) Study programme schedules: – Idents & Production staff – PM / PC

4 Do your research & be informed….. 1.Understand formats/audience viewing trends (TV) 2.Have IDEAS! 3.Develop ideas/formats/scripts/blogs/sites/test tape 4.Form opinions about the industry & programmes 5.Be informed about industry news / blogs / podcasts / engage with social media 6.Have good General Knowledge (current affairs)
