2.  If a student attends an after school program every day, that is the equivalent of 90 school days.  Some students just need more time to become proficient.

3.  Funding is based on meeting attendance targets and maintaining grant compliance.  Students must be signed in/out of the after school program. This is the only acceptable format for audit.

4. › Every student by the end of 3 rd grade will read and comprehend at the proficient level. › Every student by the end of 8 th grade will demonstrate mastery of algebra concepts and application. › Every student by the end of 12 th grade will graduate and be college and career ready.

5.  All staff have received training on key areas needed to help them be successful in their jobs.  We are working hard to help support the partners in training and coaching their staff.

6.  Review and approve plans with ASP coordinators and facilitators.  There are many lockdowns after school called by SUSD Police, site administration, and ASP staff.  The ASP staff has to be able to get safely into rooms and to lock them down. Please be sure they have access.

7.  Staff need access to classrooms, computer labs, and libraries. It is difficult to provide academic and enrichment activities with 120 students in the multipurpose room. The high school programs sometimes get confined to their office which doubles as a classroom.

8.  Help your teachers and ASP staff build strong relationships with each other. The ASP staff is there to support your teachers. Take advantage of this resource, so your students can get the most out of the program.
