Class 3D Liceo Linguistico “A.Pesenti” di Cascina ENERGY EFFICIENCY -Solar panels: Taking advantage of living in a sunny climate, our school should be provided with a BP Solar Power Generation System that converts the sunshine into usable energy -Dual Pane, Low-emittance Windows: our school should have them to provide optimal insulation for greater efficiency of heating and cooling systems while also blocking UV rays which can create damage to belongings -Energy Efficient Lighting: In addition to the savings of Compact Fluorescent Lights in light fixtures, modern dimmer switches are 10% more efficient, and occupancy sensor light switches can be set to automatically turn off lights in an empty classroom. -Blown-in Cellulose Wall insulation: most buildings use sheets of insulation, but using blown-in insulation more efficiently packs in every gap. Additionaly cellulose is non toxic

Class 3D Liceo Linguistico “A.Pesenti” di Cascina SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY LESS CONGESTION AND LESS CO2 EMISSIONS OUT OF THE SCHOOL HOW? -Public transports such as bus and trains must be developed and increased -Students living near school must walk or go by bike -For the students and the school workers living far from the school a scheme of car sharing (eg. Among parents and collegues) must be introduced.
