5 Be Respectful Food, gum, candy & drinks are to be in the cafeteria ONLY Electronics stay in lockers (locked) Know when it is appropriate to talk and what you should be talking about (respect for adults and peers)

11 Eat Breakfast Feed your body & mind with good food.

12 Stay Quiet Don’t talk to other students just before a test. Anxiety is contagious!

13 Be Prepared Have everything you will need to succeed!

14 Pay Attention Pay careful attention to the directions!

15 Read Each Question Read each question before you look at the answers. Come up with the answer first in your head.

16 Re-read If you don’t understand a problem, re-read it.

17 Distinguish Find out exactly what the problem is asking you to do, then do it!

18 Answer The Easy Questions First This will give you confidence and a strong momentum throughout the test.

19 Relax Rest your mind so the answers come to you freely.

20 Eliminate Answers Eliminate the answers you know are incorrect. Read all your choices before making a decision.

21 Rephrase Express difficult questions in your own words. Rephrasing can help make it clear to you, but be sure you don’t change the meaning of the question.

22 Use Sample Problems When studying for a test, use sample questions to review difficult or problem areas.
