3 The lesson will begin in the classroom. Students will go on an adventure outside to collect differed sizes and shapes of leaves from various trees. During the adventure, the lesson will continue with a discussion about veins in leaves and the importance leaves give to a tree. In addition, students will learn that leaves are compound or simple. Students will return back to the classroom to demonstrate their learned knowledge by participating in cooperative groups to produce leaf-rubbing art.
